Ingredients and spices that need to be Prepare to make Baked Tilapia:

  1. 8-10 Tilapia Fish whole one's
  2. 2 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  3. 2 tbsp Red Chilli powder
  4. 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  5. 2 tbsp Coriander powder roasted
  6. 2 tbsp Cumin powder roasted
  7. 2 1/2 tbsp Salt or to taste
  8. 1 tsp Chat Masala
  9. 1/4 cup Oil
  10. as required Onion Rings

Steps to make Baked Tilapia

  1. Wash and clean all the Fishes thoroughly and make deep slits across them on the both the sides. Marinate with all the ingredients mentioned. Cover and keep aside for an hour or two. Remember the longer the marination, the better is it's taste and texture.
  2. Preheat the oven on 240° for about 10 minutes. Now arrange this marinated Fish on a butter paper lined baking tray. Brush with Oil on both the sides. Also arrange the Onion rings on the sides. Pop it in the oven and set the timer to about 1 hour at first. Later you can check for yourself and do it accordingly.
  3. Baste with Oil for at least about 2 times in between the baking process. This is important for a lovely flavour and texture. Halfway through, flip them over to facilitate even baking on both the sides. This makes it more crisp.
  4. It took me around 1 hour 15 minutes in all to get a well baked crispy and excellent Fish. You can check your oven timings once it's done because every oven has different temperature settings. So there's no need to panic. That's it. Enjoy it with a steaming plate of plain boiled Rice and Hyderabadi Khatti Daal or any Sabzi of your choice.
