Ingredients and spices that need to be Take to make Masala Fish:
- 450 g Hake Medallions or Hake fillets
- 1 medium onion grated
- 1 big tomato grated
- 1 tbs tomato paste
- 1 sprig curry leaves
- 1 tsp red masala
- 1 heaped tsp garlic
- 1/2 tsp ginger
- 1 pinch mustard seeds
- 1 pinch fenugreek seeds
- 1 pinch cumin seeds
- 1 heaped tsp Dhania powder
- 1 tsp Jeeru powder
- 1 tsp fish spice
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 1-2 whole green chillies
- to taste Salt
- 3-4 tbs oil
- 1 tbs ghee
- Garnish with chopped coriander and spring onions
Instructions to make Masala Fish
- Fry onions with curry leaves and whole spices - mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, cumin seeds, garlic, ginger, whole green chilies - with oil and ghee until golden in colour
- Add grated tomato, tomato paste and all the spices - red masala, dhania powder, jeeru powder, fish spice, turmeric, paprika, salt. Mix well
- Cook until you get a nice thick Chutney and oil starts to come to the top.
- Add the fish to the pot and cook on low heat until the fish is cooked. Turning gently so as not to break the fish
- Garnish with chopped greens - coriander and spring onions. Serve with rotis.
